A message from Bethany Knight, founder and director of Shantivanam, the Peace Forest,

Greetings from Sunny Bangalore, my winter Garden of Eden!

I’m happy you have stopped by Tenderlovingcalling.org.

Until mid May, I am living in India, teaching and studying yoga, as well as working with a publisher to release the Indian edition of my book, Armchair Yoga:  All the Benefits Without the Floor.   Chandrakanta “YogaSir” Lakhera of Jhansi (northern India) my yoga master contributed to this text, and we are very enthusiastic about its release.  I am grateful to Geetha Naresh of Niranjana for taking a chance with this book.

For several months after I leave Bangalore I will be volunteering at the Jag Clinic in Mysore, teaching yoga, giving massages and learning about other healing modalities from Dr. Jag.  The clinic serves the poor, free of charge.  Check out www.jagtherapy.com.

For more up to date postings, both essays and photos, of my Indian winter, please drop by www.tenderlovingcalling.blogspot.com.    I will welcome and answer your postings and questions there.

May the New Year be a time of prosperity and creativity in your life, and peace and goodwill ‘round the world.

Love and prayers,

Bethany

Om om om, may peace prevail on earth!

  With love, Bethany

Our Tenderlovingcalling

The spirit of the lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me; He has sent me to bring glad tidings to the lowly, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to the prisons. To announce a year of favor from the Lord and a day of vindication by our God, to comfort all who mourn. To place on those who mourn Zion a garland instead of ashes, to give them oil of gladness in place of mourning, a glorious mantle instead of a listless spirit. They will be called oaks of justice, planted by the Lord to show his glory.
